How Getting Into Epic Universe Actually Works in 2026 — Tickets, Passes, and the Fine Print

Celestial Park at Universal Epic Universe

Here's a question we get more than almost any other right now: “I'm going to Universal — is Epic Universe just included?” The honest answer is that it depends entirely on which ticket you buy, and Universal has made it more complicated than it needs to be. So let's untangle exactly how you get into Epic Universe in 2026.

The best option: 3-, 4-, or 5-day Park-to-Park tickets

If you want the simplest, most flexible access, this is it. Universal's 3-, 4-, and 5-Day Park-to-Park tickets include all three theme parks — Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe — and the Park-to-Park option lets you hop freely between them on the same day. That puts Epic Universe on the table every day of your trip, with no separate-reservation math to juggle.

Multi-day base tickets: Epic's included, but one park a day

The multi-day tickets also come in a cheaper “base” version. Same three parks, but you're limited to one park per day — so you can absolutely spend a day at Epic Universe, you just can't bounce over to Islands of Adventure that same afternoon. If Epic is the centerpiece of your trip and you don't care about park-hopping, base saves you money.

1- and 2-day tickets: read this part carefully

Here's where people get tripped up. On 1- and 2-Day tickets, Epic Universe is handled separately: the ticket includes a day at Universal Studios Florida and/or Islands of Adventure, plus one separate day of admission to Epic Universe. There's no same-day hopping into Epic on these shorter tickets — your original-parks day and your Epic day are booked as distinct days.

The annual pass surprise

This is the one that catches locals and repeat visitors off guard: a Universal Orlando Annual Pass still does not include admission to Epic Universe in 2026. Passholders have to buy a separate ticket to get in, though they currently get up to 40% off select dated Epic Universe add-on tickets. Universal has said passes that include Epic Universe will be announced later — but for now, your pass covers the two original parks, not the new one.

One consolation for passholders: Universal's 2026 Passholder Appreciation Days run August 15 through September 30, with extra discounts on Express Passes, hotel stays, dining and merchandise. Just don't expect it to unlock Epic Universe — that's still a separate purchase.

Our advice

If Epic Universe is a priority — and after a full day there, we'd argue it should be — a multi-day Park-to-Park ticket is the cleanest way to guarantee you can get in whenever you want, without wrestling with the single-day-admission structure on the shorter tickets. If you're a passholder, budget for a separate Epic ticket and watch for those add-on discounts. Universal will almost certainly fold Epic into a pass tier eventually; until they announce it, plan as if your pass doesn't cover it — because it doesn't.
